Getting Started

Q: How do I create an account on OrionOne?

A: To sign up for OrionOne:
1. Go to learn.orionone.ai and click "Sign In".
2. Click "Create a new account".
3. Fill in your information: First name, Last name, Email, and create a Password.
4. Important: Your parent must also fill in their information (First name, Last name, Mobile number, and Email) - this is required!
5. Click "Sign up" to create your account.
6. You can also sign up using Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn if you prefer.

Q: How do I start my free trial?

A: Once you have an account and are logged in:
1. Go to "Smart Papers" to see available papers.
2. Click on the papers that you want to practice.
3. Click "Enroll for free".
4. Your test will load automatically with a loading message, then your questions will appear.

Q: What if the page looks blank or won't load?

A: Try refreshing the page (press F5 or the refresh button). If it still doesn't work, send an email to [email protected] for help.

Q: Can I use this on my tablet or phone?

A: Yes! This works on tablets, phones, and computers. On mobile devices, you can touch the screen to draw and tap buttons.

Account & Login Help

Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

A: To reset your password:
1. Go to learn.orionone.ai and click "Sign In".
2. Click on "Forgot password?" below the password field.
3. Enter the email address you used to sign up.
4. Click "Submit".
5. Check your email for reset instructions and follow the steps.

Q: I can't remember which email I used to sign up.

A: Try the email addresses you commonly use. If you still can't remember, email [email protected] with your full name and they can help you find your account.

Q: Can I sign in with Google/Facebook instead of email and password?

A: Yes! On the sign-in page, you'll see options to sign in with Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn. Click on the one you prefer and follow the instructions.

Q: Why does my parent need to give their information when I sign up?

A: OrionOne is designed for primary school students, so parent information is required for safety and to keep parents informed about their child's learning progress.

Q: My parent's email isn't working during sign-up

A: Make sure the parent's email is typed correctly (no spaces, correct spelling). If it still doesn't work, try using a different email address or email [email protected] for help.

Answering Questions

Q: How do I answer multiple choice questions?

A: Type the letter number (like 1, 2, 3, 4) in the answer box. You only need to type one number.

Q: How do I answer questions that need longer answers?

A: Click or tap in the big text box and start typing your answer. The box will scroll automatically if you need more space.

Q: What if I make a mistake in my answer?

A: No problem! Just click in the answer box and change your answer. You can delete text and type new text anytime.

Q: How do I know which questions I still need to answer?

A: Scroll up and down through the page to see all questions. Empty answer boxes show you which questions still need answers. We will do an overall check for incomplete questions when you click "Submit for marking", and list out those questions which do not have any answers.

Q: What can I do after I sign up and log in?

A: After logging in, you can:
1. Access "Smart Papers" to see available papers.
2. Enroll in the papers that you want to practice.
3. Practice with real exam papers from Singapore's top primary schools.
4. Get instant AI feedback on your answers (especially for difficult open-ended questions).

Q: Is OrionOne really free?

A: Yes! All available papers are free right now! Each paper includes 1 full past exam paper, divided into Booklet A and B.

Drawing and Marking Pictures

Q: How do I draw on pictures or over the questions?

A: For laptops or computers, just click your mouse and you can draw immediately. For mobile devices with touch screen, click the "Pen" button at the bottom right, then click and drag on the picture to draw. Remember to click on the "Pen" button again to deactivate the drawing function so that you can scroll again.

Q: How do I erase my drawing?

A: Click the "Eraser" button, then click and drag over the parts you want to erase. Or click "Dustbin" button to erase everything you drew. Be careful and make sure you want to clear everything before clicking on the "Dustbin" button.

Q: The drawing tools aren't working. What should I do?

A: - Make sure you clicked the "Pen" button first.
- Try refreshing the page and starting over.
- On mobile, make sure you're touching directly on the picture.
- Email [email protected] if it still doesn't work.

Q: My drawing looks weird or is in the wrong place.

A: This can happen if you scroll while drawing. Try to keep the page still while you draw. If it's messed up, use the eraser or clear button to start over.

Q: How do I change the color or thickness of my pen?

A: The drawing tools are set to work best for your test. You can only change between pen (for drawing) and eraser (for removing drawings).

Using Voice Input

Q: What is the microphone button for?

A: You can speak your answers instead of typing! Click the microphone button next to an answer box, then speak clearly.

Q: How do I use voice input?

A: 1. Click the microphone button next to the answer box.
2. When you see "Listening..." speak your answer clearly.
3. Click the microphone button again to stop recording.
4. Your spoken words will appear as text in the answer box.

Q: The microphone isn't working

A: - Make sure your device has a microphone.
- The browser might ask permission to use your microphone - click "Allow".
- Speak clearly and not too fast.
- Make sure you're in a quiet room.
- If it still doesn't work, just type your answer instead.

Q: The voice input wrote the wrong words

A: You can edit the text just like normal typing. Click in the answer box and fix any mistakes. The voice input isn't perfect, so always check what it wrote!

Q: Can I use voice input in a noisy classroom?

A: Voice input works best in quiet places. If it's noisy, it might not understand you well. Try typing your answer instead, or find a quieter place if possible.

Saving Your Work

Q: Will my answers be saved if something goes wrong?

A: Yes! Your answers are automatically saved every few seconds. You'll see a small "Auto-saved" message appear.

Q: What if my internet stops working?

A: Your answers are saved on your device, so you won't lose your work.

Q: Can I close the page and come back later?

A: Yes! Your work is saved automatically. When you open the page again, all your answers and drawings will still be there.

Q: How do I know my work is being saved?

A: Look for "Auto-saved" messages that appear briefly when you're working. This means your work is being saved safely.

Q: Why are my answers missing when I switch to a different device?

A: Your answers are only saved on the device you are working on. If you want to switch device, click on "Save to Cloud" so that you can download your answers to the new device from the cloud.

Submitting Your Test

Q: How do I submit my test when I'm finished?

A: Look for a "Submit for Marking" button (usually green) at the bottom of the page. Click it when you've answered all the questions you can.

Q: What happens after I submit?

A: Your test will be sent for marking. You'll see a message that says marking is in progress. This takes a few minutes, and you can close the page if you want.

Q: How many times can I submit for marking?

A: You are only allowed to submit for marking at most twice for every paper. After the first attempt, click on "Edit and Resubmit" to edit your answers and submit for the second (final) time.

Q: Can I change my answers after submitting?

A: After the first marking attempt, click on "Edit and Resubmit" to edit your answers and submit for the second (final) time. Do note that you are only allowed to submit for marking at most twice for every paper. So, make sure you are ready before submitting, just like a real exam!

Q: What if the submit button doesn't work?

A: - Make sure you have internet connection
- Try refreshing the page and clicking submit again
- Email [email protected] for help if it still doesn't work

Q: Do I need to answer every question before submitting?

A: It's best to answer all questions you can, but you can submit even if some are left blank. Try your best on every question!

Troubleshooting Common Problems

Q: The page is really slow or keeps freezing.

A: - Close other browser tabs or apps you don't need.
- Refresh the page.
- Make sure you have good internet connection.

Q: I can't scroll through all the questions

A: Try using the arrow keys, scroll wheel on your mouse, or swiping up/down on mobile devices. Some browsers work differently.

Q: The pictures aren't loading.

A: - Wait a moment - pictures take time to load.
- Check your internet connection.
- Refresh the page.
- Email [email protected] if pictures still don't show up.

Q: My answers disappeared!

A: - Don't panic! Refresh the page - your answers are probably saved.
- Check if you accidentally switched to a different test.
- Email [email protected] for help.

Q: I'm getting error messages

A: - Try refreshing the page first.
- Write down what the error message says and email it to [email protected].
- Don't close the page completely - your work might still be saved.

Mobile Device Tips

Q: How do I draw on my tablet or phone?

A: Use your finger or a stylus (special pen for tablets). Tap the "Pen" button first, then draw directly on the pictures. Remember to click on the "Pen" button again to deactivate the drawing function so that you can scroll again. The "Pen" button toggles between scrolling and drawing.

Q: The keyboard is covering my answer box.

A: Try turning your device sideways (landscape mode) to get more space, or scroll down to see the answer box better.

Navigating the Learning Platform

Q: How do I find my courses after logging in?

A: After logging in to learn.orionone.ai:
1. Click on "My Dashboard" in the top navigation bar to see all the courses you are enrolled in.
2. Click on any course to view details or enroll.
3. To see all the courses available in OrionOne, click on "Smart Papers".

Q: How do I get back to the main page?

A: Click on "OrionOne" logo at the top left of any page, or click "Home" in the footer.

Q: I'm logged in but can't see my courses

A: Make sure you've enrolled in courses first. Go to "Smart Papers" and click "Enroll for free" on the trial course. If you still have trouble, email [email protected].

Q: Can I practice the same test multiple times?

A: You can always come back to see your answers, and marking results (if you have submitted for marking). However, you are only allowed to submit for marking at most twice for every paper.
